Deep bite
What is a deep bite?
A deep bite is a common occurrence in people of all ages. It is diagnosed if the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth by more than 3 millimeters.
Here’s how you can tell if you have a deep bite: close your teeth and smile – if you can’t see the bottom teeth, there’s a good chance you have a deep bite.
If the deep bite is not corrected, damage to the tips of the lower teeth and the backs of the upper teeth will occur over time. In that case, the only solution is to grind the teeth and install artificial crowns.
By correcting a deep bite, you preserve the health of your teeth and the aesthetics of your smile.
