Reverse bite

What is a reverse bite?
In a reverse bite, the upper or lower jaw is in an incorrect position – the upper teeth are located behind the lower ones. This position of the teeth prevents normal speech and chewing functions and distorts the appearance of the face.
With this type of bite, it is extremely important to consult an orthodontic specialist in a timely manner. The orthodontic profession recommends that every child, upon entering the first grade of elementary school, visit an orthodontic specialist in addition to a dentist.
